Messiah’s log, star date 2012 AD.
Greetings from Captain Denson and the crew of Shalom Ministry.
We trust this letter finds you looking forward to the promise of His coming. As many of you know, we’re planning our Summer Evangelistic Outreach to the Metro Detroit area, where we’ll be taking the Gospel to Jews and Gentiles alike. We’ll be working with four to six churches in the Metro Detroit area.
Our goal will be to send out teams of Messianic Jews and Christian believers in Messiah Yeshua to knock on neighborhood doors, to go out to the playgrounds, and to witness on the street corners for four weekends.
The first weekend we’ll be in Romulan territory, better known as the Oak Park and West Bloomfield areas. The remaining weeks will be dedicated to the mean streets of Detroit or, as we like to refer to it, Klingon Territory. It is our mission at Shalom Ministry to bring many to the saving knowledge of Yeshua so they can be “beamed up” at His appearing.
If you would like to join with us in this mission, we’re offering “Trek,” training for three weeks in July at our ministry office, located at 33634 West Eight Mile, Farmington, Mich. 48335. The dates for the training will be Thursday, July 12, 19, and 26.AT 7 PM TO 9PM We also will be training at three local churches in the Detroit area, with dates to be determined.
We’ll train you to accurately and effectively use your phaser (The Word of God) to bring the message of salvation and hope to this lost and dying world. We pray that many of you will join us at the Starfleet academy (The Shalom Ministry office) for this blessed event.
… But seriously folks, this promises to be an event like no other held in this area. We’re expecting many Jews and Gentiles to come to the saving knowledge of our Messiah Yeshua. If you’re not able to participate, here are some ways that you can help support this outreach:
- First and foremost, we need your ongoing prayers for our crew and away team as we go against our enemy the Borg (Satan).
- Second, we would appreciate any financial gifts to help us in this tremendous effort to reach our communities for the Messiah. Would you be willing to give a one-time, special gift of any amount that the Lord leads you to give?
- Finally, we could use donations of new Bibles to pass out to those we will contact. By the way, the local churches are going to follow through and disciple those we reach with this outreach.
As you know by now, we’re using trekkie vocabulary and terms and trust that you understand our intent. Reaching people for Jesus is what we do, beginning with the Jew first.
